Sol Fire Philosophy

The Sol Fire story began in 2012 in our own kitchen. It started with our best intentions, and a lot of research. Little did we know how much work would go into our products. Hard work, and lots of love is the foundation of our company. We started this company for our children, our family, and our friends. We make our products with the best essential oils, and fragrances. We also add real butters, waxes, and oils. Finally we formulated our own glycerin to keep it as natural as possible. With this simple, and humble beginning we started Sol Fire. All of our products were thought with different people in mind. We carry different scents to try and please our customers as best as we can. Our products are individually made, cut, and packaged by us. We take pride in what we do so nothing is overlooked. With that in mind, we hope you enjoy our products as much as we do. We would like to thank all the people that have given us a chance, and believed in us. We greatly believe in local people helping each other. That is why our motto is ,”The sun shines for everyone!”
'Soaps from the ‘Sol’
In today’s increasingly health conscious society, ways to stay healthier on a budget seem to be a common theme. Although maintaining a healthier lifestyle can seem expensive to some, it all depends on how you use it.
For Sol Gallegos, using more natural products was not only a way to save money but a way to keep her family healthier.
“I’m a nurse and I have always been into more natural things, but I wanted to do something extra.” I have six kids and the five younger ones have allergies, eczema and the beginnings of asthma. I started looking in to doing things for myself, like making naturally scented plug-ins, detergent and my own fabric softener; then I decided to try soap.”
Shiny, colorful bars of individually wrapped soaps can be found at Gallegos booth “Sol Fire Simple n’ Fabulous” at farmer’s markets in McAllen and Pharr. Her soaps range in scents including honey oatmeal, cucumber melon, lemon lime, coffee and cinnamon and peppermint.
She incorporates all-natural ingredients, most locally purchased such as the fresh goat’s milk she uses in the goat’s milk and honey soap. Shea butter, coconut and palm oils are the base for most of her soap batches.
“The honey and oatmeal is good for acne, and the goat’s milk, honey and oatmeal is very nourishing,” she said.
Gallegos noticed a huge difference in her children’s health after incorporating the more natural soap into her family’s lifestyle. With help from her husband, Gallegos was able to start producing more soap and trying out new recipes."
